Hazardous Areas

CTE provide hazardous area classification services compliant with AS/ NZS 4761 standards. We perform hazard area inspections (EEHA/IECEx/CompEx) and prepare verification dossiers including equipment inspections, inspection reports, vendor package inspections and prioritised defects lists.

CTE employs hazardous area trained electricians and instrumentation technicians. We can assist with maintenance strategies; risk assessments and rectification work where required.

Our hazardous area staff are not only trained under the ASQA framework but also hold installation, Maintenance, Testing, Inspection & Auditing units under the IECEx CoPC (Certificate of Personnel Competency) Scheme.


High Voltage

CTE hold Queensland Government accreditation to perform High Voltage & Hazardous Area Audits in accordance with the Electrical Safety Act. All CTE audits are prepared in accordance with the relevant state-based electricity act and Australian Standards.

AUS/IECEx Training & Certification

CTE Australia is a Nationally Registered Training Organisation (RTO 41014), IECEx Recognised Training Provider (RTP) & an IECEx Certified Body under the Certificates of Personal Competency (CoPC) Scheme with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres.

Our trainers are qualified to Certificate IV level in Workplace Training and Assessment and hold every competency they are to deliver.

Design & Drafting Services

Design:

We offer a range of engineering services covering front-end engineering design, scope and feasibility studies. We specialise in the design of high and low voltage systems, direct current traction power systems, earthing studies, cathodic protection and hazardous area design and classification.

We perform registered audits for large photovoltaic generation systems and also prepare Conformity Assessment Documents (CAD’s) for hazardous area equipment. All CTE designs are fully compliant to Australian Design Standards and are RPEQ certified if required.

Drafting:

CTE Drafting provides a multi-disciplinary building services drafting team assisting clients manage the perks and troughs that is common in the building and design industry. With over 20 years of experience in the industry producing fast and accurate documentation on time, every time. We don’t only meet our client’s expectations but pride ourselves on over delivering and adding value to any project that we are entrusted with. Our drafting team is proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit.


Dangerous Goods

CTE are in the unique position where we can not only assess your workplace to relevant Legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice for the Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods but also provide Hazardous Area Classifications to provide a holistic assessment of your workplace. Your CTE consultant will hold the Australian accredited competencies in Classification & Design under the ASQA framework and hold international accreditation under the IECEx CoPC (Certificate of Personnel Competency) Scheme. CTE’s services cover the following areas from design conception through to operation & ongoing compliance inspections:
